Integrating UX design best practices with agile project development methodology best practices.

User Experience Designer, Technology Engineering

I lead and built all UX design within the enterprise process.

While on this project, I was invited to join agile development training, learning new tricks and applications of scrum and agile methodology. I practiced them with a very talented group of people.
Our big win was our UX presence and integration within a huge multi-discipline enterprise. This success eventually resulted in converting the legacy desktop application into a web-based service with UX Agile methods included every step of the way.

Hospitals use "coding" operations for greater accuracy, efficient workflow and increased productivity.
I joined the United Health Care User Experience group to assess and improve the medical coders' experience in this very complex hospital billing product. 
The project encompassed more than just designing the product, but rather the ongoing task of socializing user advocacy principles and design best practices with the product and development teams.
Our product objectives were the following:

• Increase productivity and usefulness by reducing the amount of time it takes for staff to close and bill.
• Improve clinical documentation for an improved audit trail.
• Build in more accuracy and accountability into the workflow.

Team member of a world-class design process. Our team built products for the tax-paying consumer.

User interaction Designer

I lead and built all UX design within the enterprise process.
Task: Complete Interaction Design improvements for the 2012 TurboTax product release

•    Developed “Quick Tour” video for TurboTax Online new users
•    Participated in regular usability lab sessions before finalizing all design updates

Success: Live results TBD, but updates will reach 2,000+ new users with a goal of converted revenue.

Muli-developmental effort with limited UX resourcing.

User Experience Designer

Task: Specify and design product enhancements and develop design solutions for new product features
Success: Utilizing direct customer service feedback, re-designed tasks are tested faster and more delightful
